Meanwhile, Elena and Damon retreat to the Gilbert Lake House to help Jeremy conquer some dangerous inner demons with the help of Bonnie and Professor Shane (guest star David Alpay), who reveals a piece of ancient history that leaves them all speechless. WEDDING BELLS RING — When Catherine's (Kristin Kreuk) dad (guest-star Rob Stewart) gets remarried, the bride-to-be and her bridesmaids try to find the daughter-of-the-groom a date for the wedding. Uncomfortable with being set up, Cat reluctantly admits that she's seeing somebody and confides to Vincent (Jay Ryan) that she wishes he could be her date. At the wedding reception, Cat learns about a research grant that Evan (Max Brown) received to study the mutant DNA cells found at local crime scenes. When she tells Vincent about Evan's theory of how the cells are changing to become more animal-like and less human, she encounters an unexpected detour that could change the course of their relationship. Meanwhile, Tess (Nina Lisandrello) and Joe (Brian White) cross the line romantically despite the fact that Joe is a married man. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Sherri Cooper and Jennifer Levin.

Determined to make up for lost time and restore a sense of normalcy to the Queen household, Oliver decides to throw the family a Christmas party. Meanwhile, Tommy asks Laurel to spend Christmas with him but she points out that Christmas was also her sister Sara's birthday and she needs to be with her father. Tommy suggests changing things up might be the best way for everyone to heal but Laurel isn't sure her father is ready for that. Meanwhile, Diggle tells Oliver someone is murdering the people on his father's list with arrows, which sends Oliver off to face his toughest adversary yet. John Dahl directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim.

Watch Beauty and the Beast Season 1 Episode 8 "Trapped"

JT (Austin Basis) suspects that Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) is the trigger of Vincent’s (Jay Ryan) blackouts, so to disprove this theory, Vincent allows JT to inject him with endorphins and sedatives that force him into a fugue state. In flashback, Vincent recalls his time in Afghanistan when he received his first super soldier shot, and remembers who injected him with the DNA altering substance. He also recollects how the other soldiers experienced unpredictable side effects, including fugue states, and is relieved to know that Cat isn't causing his blackouts. Vincent shares his memory about Murifield with Cat, who experiences some recollections of her own. Then, as Cat and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) investigate the attempted murder of a teen pop star (guest-star Max Schneider), Evan suspects that Cat is deliberately protecting the vigilante who saved him in the subway. Paul Fox directed the episode written by Emily Silver.

CAT LEARNS THE TRUTH ABOUT VINCENT’S BLACKOUTS — JT (Austin Basis) thinks Vincent (Jay Ryan) may somehow be involved in Cat’s (Kristin Kreuk) homicide investigation after she mentions a local college fraternity brother was brutally killed. JT examines Vincent to determine the cause of his increasingly frequent blackouts, but when Vincent starts to beast out, JT is forced to tranquilize him. Meanwhile, Evan and his new intern find a strange cut on the victim’s ankle, which matches that of a female cadaver left on campus a year earlier. As Evan works to uncover more clues from the crime scene, he is kidnapped. Cat begs Vincent to help find Evan and save his life, yet she doesn’t realize that she’s putting Vincent’s life in serious danger. Rick Bota directed the episode written by Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders.

Actually, Vincent mysteriously blacked out on his way to meet Catherine, and is now searching for answers. Catherine's case pulls her into the sophisticated world of the SoHo art scene. When Vincent finds Catherine all dressed up to go to a gallery opening -- with Evan -- he has to admit that his feelings for her are growing deeper. All the while Evan makes his affections for Catherine known, leaving Catherine torn between the two very different suitors. Kevin Fair directed the episode written by Allison Moore.

A KISS IS JUST A KISS -- Vincent (Jay Ryan) is captured on a convenience store surveillance video while preventing a robbery, and Cat (Kristin Kreuk) warns him to be extra careful when his photo appears in the newspaper. Cat and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) investigate the disappearance of a woman named Amy (guest star Annie Murphy), who has gone missing after her fiancée, Dr. Michael Walters (guest star Jeremy Glazer), surprised his bride-to-be by placing their engagement announcement in the paper that morning. Evan (Max Brown) runs Amy’s fingerprints and discovers her true identity, while Cat wonders if her disappearance was intentional after Vincent mentions that he and JT (Austin Basis) have an escape plan to clear out of their loft without a trace in a matter of minutes. Later, Michael also goes missing and Joe (Brian White) learns that his team has been deceived. Meanwhile, Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson) is planning a surprise birthday party for her sister, forcing Cat to postpone her birthday plans with Vincent. At the party, Cat and Evan share a surprising moment. Steve Adelson directed the episode written by Blair Singer and Kelly Souders.

VINCENT OFFERS TO SACRIFICE HIMSELF TO PROTECT CAT -- Vincent (Jay Ryan) revives a 19-year old boy who was left for dead in a dumpster and rushes him to the E.R., where he remains in a coma. After Evan (Max Brown) declares that the boy’s x-rays reveal a history of bone fractures, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) question the father, Zachary Holt (guest-star Alex Carter), who worries that his son’s ADHD and history of fighting and gambling might have gotten him mixed up with the wrong crowd. The detectives question Lois Whitworth (guest-star Madchen Amick), who owns the Westchester Polo Club where the boy worked. Lois is surprised to learn that her daughter, Clarissa (guest-star Jenn Proske), has been dating this young man. Clarissa claims that she ended the relationship because he was involved in illegal activities, but Cat and Tess suspect that there’s more to her story. Meanwhile, Silverfox (guest-star Peter Outerbridge) and his Muirfield agents track down Cat, and offer to tell her the truth about her mother in exchange for turning over Vincent, who they insist is a monster. Cat tells Vincent about her Silverfox encounter, and Vincent realizes that Cat might be afraid of him. JT (Austin Basis) wants them to flee, but Vincent refuses to leave Cat, instead offering to surrender to Silverfox in exchange for Cat’s safety. Bradley Walsh directed the episode written by Roger Grant.

CAT AND TESS INVESTIGATE THE VEHICULAR HOMICIDE OF AN IMMIGRATION JUDGE – Iris (Lara Jean Chorostecki), a Bosnian immigrant, is arrested on the suspicion of killing a judge for deporting her brother. Vincent (Jay Ryan) insists that Iris is innocent, so trusting his instincts, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) works behind-the-scenes to uncover the truth. When Cat’s actions disrupt the investigation, Joe (Brian White) places her on leave. Nevertheless, she continues on her own to discover that Iris is hiding a family secret, and needs Vincent’s help. JT (Austin Basis) is concerned that Vincent risks exposure to Murifield by helping Cat, leading Cat to work out a way to communicate with Vincent without seeking him out. P.J. Pesce directed the episode written by Jeff Rake.

CAT INVESTIGATES THE MURDER OF A BALLERINA — When a rising young ballerina mysteriously falls to her death, Vincent (Jay Ryan) senses that the understudy, Victoria (Elizabeth Blackmore), is hiding information about the dancer’s murder. Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) discover that the victim tried to file a police report for an assault. Meanwhile, Cat seeks out Vincent’s help to decipher a medical paper found in her mother’s belongings, and J.T. (Austin Basis) worries that Cat’s visits to the warehouse loft leave Vincent vulnerable to discovery by Muirfield’s agents. Catherine encourages Vincent to help her investigate deeper into the Muirfield project, but when Vincent refuses, Cat investigates on her own, until her computer is wiped clean by a malicious virus. Tess tries her hand at dating again, but soon discovers that she’s unknowingly involved with a married man. Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson) moves out of Cat’s apartment after growing uncomfortable with her sister’s quest for more answers about their mother’s death. Now, years have passed and Cat is a police officer, investigating a case that leads her to the person who saved her: a doctor named Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan, “Terra Nova”). With the help of his childhood friend J.T. Forbes (Austin Basis, “Life Unexpected”), Vincent has been in hiding, guarding his secret — when enraged, he becomes a terrifying beast, unable to control his super strength. Still, Cat is touched by the person that lives within the Beast and she knows she has to keep her relationship with Vincent a secret from her boss, Joe Bishop (Brian White, “The Shield”), her partner, Tess Vargas (Nina Lisandrello, “Nurse Jackie”), and even from her close friend, Evan Marks (Max Brown, “The Tudors”), the medical examiner. Cat and Vincent are powerfully drawn to one another, but they understand that their connection is extremely dangerous for both of them. Helena's quest for revenge proves to be too strong for Oliver to handle after she kills the head of the Triad and all hell breaks loose. Meanwhile, Tommy (Colin Donnell) is blindsided by an unfortunate turn of events and turns to Laurel (Katie Cassidy) for support. Meanwhile, Tommy asks Thea for relationship advice, but things get awkward when she realizes he was asking about Laurel. Moira confronts Oliver about all of his recent disappearances in the middle of family functions. John Behring directed the episode written by Moira Kirland & Marc Guggenheim.

Laurel takes the case which puts her at odds with her father. Oliver offers to take a polygraph in front Detective Lance but things get tense when Lance asks him if anyone else was on the island with him. Oliver flashes back to when he got his first scar, courtesy of Deathstroke (guest star Jeffrey Robinson). Colin Donnell, David Ramsey and Willa Holland also star. Michael Shultz directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Ben Sokolowski.

As Arrow, he asks Laurel to help prove Declan's innocence. Meanwhile, Walter (guest star Colin Salmon) asks one of his employees, Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Rickards), to look into a $2.6 million withdrawal that Moira made without his knowledge. He soon learns that the man, Deadshot (guest star Michael Rowe), is taking out businessmen who are scheduled to bid at an auction on an energy company and Walter is one of the bidders. Realizing he can’t protect his family and stop Deadshot at the same time, Oliver enlists Detective Lance's help, but his plan has dire consequences. Meanwhile, Laurel and Tommy get caught in an awkward situation with Oliver. Willa Holland, David Ramsey and Susanna Thompson also star. KELLY HU GUEST STARS AS DC COMICS VILLAIN CHINA WHITE — Oliver heads to the courthouse to get his death certificate repealed and is pleasantly surprised to run into Laurel, who is there prosecuting Martin Somers (guest star Ty Olsson), a criminal with ties to the Chinese Triad. Oliver recognizes Martin's name from his father's book and sets his sights on taking him down. Martin orders the Triad to "take care of" Laurel so they send their top mercenary – China White (Hu) – after her, an act that culminates in a battle between Arrow and China White. Meanwhile, Moira and Walter (guest star Colin Salmon) ask Oliver to take over the company. Colin Donnell, Willa Holland, David Ramsey and Paul Blackthorne also star.
